CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS 2014 Launches the "Startup Challenge" to Support the Future Champions of Innovation

PARIS, (informazione.it - comunicati stampa - elettronica)

The aim of this initiative is to support innovative businesses from the digital security sector, by offering them visibility and financial support[1].

Startups wishing to compete have to submit their application before 9 October 2014 at fr.cartes.com/CARTES-2014/STARTUP-CHALLENGE

STARTUPS ARE INVENTING THE NEW MODELS FOR TOMORROW

The youth and boldness of startups give them an edge over large groups to create new models and stimulate traditional markets. This is all the more likely when, in order to stand out, distinguish themselves and compete with the major players, they have to break free from some of the rules of the game and show more creativity.

Whether this takes place in the field of banking, insurance, health, media or transport, the entire industry is transformed and takes a decidedly connected direction. When actions, exchanges and information are stored and exchanged, innovation is needed to protect data, transactions and identities.

Whereas before, innovations in terms of payment, identification and mobility were primarily made by expert companies or the major players of the sector, today it is the startups that play a key role in this segment. Their success proves their tremendous ability to meet the challenges and expectations of the professionals.

In the light of this new order and the emergence of these new players, FABERNOVEL and CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS are showing their shared willingness to support innovation and to promote startups through the "STARTUP CHALLENGE".

"For me, being enterprising is like being on fire. It's a quest for freedom, it's impatience, a need for adventure, a fundamental desire to create and to drag customs out of the underground. The process has very little to do with trade at the beginning: ultimately, the vital force of something like Facebook is that of a young guy who wanted to impress the girls…", declared Stéphane Distinguin, founder and CEO of FABERNOVEL.

For Isabelle Alfano, CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS Event Director, "Innovation can be found in the entire offering deployed at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS.In actual fact it's the driving force of the event. So it's quite natural for us to partner with FABERNOVEL to support the new masters of digital security innovation. Thanks to this challenge, today's entrepreneurs, who will be tomorrow's major players, can get exposure and financial support from us as well as preferential access to the targeted market".

A competition to help startups

Any company operating in the field of digital security (whether or not it is exhibiting at CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS) is welcome.

The only mandatory requirements are proof of at least two years' presence on the market, and to have already launched 1 or 2 products on the digital security market. Only one application per enterprise is allowed.

An exceptional grant

The successful startup will be awarded an exceptional grant of €10,000 by the organizers of CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS and will have a stand at one of the 3 major CARTES SECURE CONNEXIONS events worldwide (Paris Nord Villepinte for Europe, Hong Kong for Asia or Washington for America), to be able to present its innovation "live".

It will also be able to benefit from the network of journalists attending the event.
