FCA posted another strong monthly performance in Europe, with October sales up 6.6% to 75,100 vehicles. This compared with a 30 basis point decrease for the industry. For the ten months year-to-date, unit sales totaled 843,300 vehicles, increasing 14.5% compared with 6.9% for the industry. All brands contributed to the October increase, with sales up 24.4% for Lancia, 21.0% for Alfa Romeo, 8.3% for Jeep and 3.2% for Fiat. The Fiat Panda and 500 continued to dominate the European A segment with a combined share of 28.9%. The Fiat 500L, leader in its segment, posted a 25.8% segment share for the year-to-date. The Fiat 500X, consistently among the top five in its segment, posted a 57.1% increase for the year-to-date. The Lancia Ypsilon continued as leader in the Italian B segment, with sales up 30.3% over October a year ago. Jeep maintained its momentum, with a 20.7% sales increase year-to-date driven primarily by the Renegade. Alfa Romeo also posted significant increases for the month and for the year-to-date, with the Giulia and Giulietta both contributing to the result.

In October, FCA posted another strong monthly performance in Europe (EU28+EFTA), outperforming the industry average. The Group's October sales totaled more than 75,100 units, increasing 6.6% compared with a 30 basis point reduction for the industry. Market share was 40 basis points higher at 6.6%.
For the ten months year-to-date, sales were up 14.5% (+6.9% for the industry) to 843,300 vehicles and market share was 40 basis points higher at 6.6%.
For both October and the year-to-date, FCA outperformed the industry average in Italy (+12.8% for the month and +19.5% year-to-date), France (+11.3% for both October and the year-to-date) and Spain (+34.0% for the month and 25.2% year-to-date).

Fiat brand posted a 3.2% increase in European sales in October, with more than 55,300 vehicles sold. Market share was 10 basis points higher at 4.8%.
For the year-to-date, brand sales were up 14.3% to nearly 636,300 vehicles and share was 5.0% (+30 bps).
In October, the brand posted increases of 6.5% in Italy, 9.6% in France and 38.3% in Spain. For the year-to-date, sales were up 18.4% in Italy, 10.4% in Germany, 13.5% in France and 27.8% in Spain.
The brand remained the leader in the European A segment with the Panda and 500 ranking first and second for both October and the year-to-date. So far in 2016, the two models hold a combined 29.4% segment share, with sales of the 500 up 2.1% over the same period in 2015 and sales of the Panda up 9.9%. The 500L also ranked number one in its segment for both October and the year-to-date. With nearly 71,600 vehicles sold so far this year, the 500L holds a 25.8% segment share. The 500X continued as one of the best-selling models in its segment, with sales up 57.1% to nearly 90,600 vehicles for the year-to-date. Sales of the Tipo family continued to increase and the Fiat 124 spider was among the top five in its segment for the month of October.

Lancia/Chrysler posted October sales of more than 5,500 vehicles (+24.4%) and share increased 10 basis points to 0.5%. Year-to-date, brand sales totaled 58,300 vehicles (+10.5%), with share 10 basis points higher at 0.5%. In Italy, Lancia's primary market, sales were up 29.8% in October and 19.0% year-to-date.
Sales of the Lancia Ypsilon in Europe increased 26.0% in October and 15.3% for the year-to-date, with the model continuing as leader in the Italian B segment.

Alfa Romeo posted sales of nearly 5,400 vehicles in October (+21.0%), with market share 10 basis points higher at 0.5%.
For the year-to-date, brand sales totaled nearly 53,900 vehicles (+12.4%) and market share was stable at 0.4%.
Brand sales were up in nearly all major markets, increasing 31.3% in October in Italy (+15.9% year-to-date), 69.5% in Germany (+29.6% year-to-date), 34.3% in France (+10.1% year-to-date) and 1.0% in Spain (+10.2 year-to-date).
Those results reflected rapid growth in all major European markets for both the Giulia and the Giulietta (which was up 1.0% year-over-year).

Jeep posted another strong sales month with nearly 8,100 vehicles sold in October (+8.3%) and market share stable year-over-year at 0.7%. Year-to-date, sales were up 20.7% to nearly 88,400 vehicles and market share was 10 basis points higher at 0.7%.
Brand sales outperformed the industry average in Italy (+31.9% in October and +37.2% year-to-date), France (+10.1% in October and +17.3% year-to-date) and Spain (+32.7% in October and +33.9 year-to-date).
Those results were driven by the continued strong performance of the Jeep Renegade, which has firmly established itself among the leaders in its segment. The Renegade posted sales of 6,000 units in October (+23.2% year-over-year) and 64,900 units for the year-to-date (+43.8% year-over-year).

For Maserati, the Group's luxury brand, European sales totaled 789 vehicles in October and 6,249 for the year-to-date.
