UK, 13/01/2010 (informazione.it - comunicati stampa) A former Miss Great Britain herself and gifted with a sharp business acumen, Liz Fuller is in the ideal position to own and manage the business of Miss Great Britain.
Not that she hasn't already had experience in running the business. After selling her share to her former business partner Robert de Keyser amid some controversy three years ago, Liz jumped at the recent opportunity of buying back the licence when de Keyser had to give it up due to his financial difficulties. And so astute is this former beauty queen that she managed to buy it back for a lesser price than what she got for her share three years ago!
Fully owned for the first time by a former Miss Great Britain – and one who has a degree in journalism specialising in feminism – the business will see some significant changes as to how the competition is run in the future. Liz will start by
Re-instating Danielle Lloyd
Liz feels that the Liverpool beauty who was crowned Miss Great Britain in 2006, only to be stripped of her title the same year, was unfairly treated. Liz, who still owned a share of the Miss Great Britain business then, was bought out within 2 weeks of Danielle winning her title, so there was little management left to guide her. Liz feels the old Miss Great Britain management let Danielle down badly. Without adequate guidance and support, Danielle's only option was posing nude for Playboy. Also, allegations of an affair with one of the pageant's judges, footballer Teddy Sheringham, were unfair, as he only became her boyfriend after she was crowned Miss Great Britain, according to Liz.
Bikinis will be banned
Seeing Jordan in that tasteless gold skimpy swimsuit in Ibiza and the unbelievable scantily clad contestants in Strictly Come Dancing, Liz believes Britain has lost its standards and she wants to give back Miss Great Britain a 'class' factor.
Miss 'Great Personality'
Not only looking for beauty outside - personality, strength of charcter, warmth and kindness will be more important than the swimsuit round. Liz wishes to be a protective mentor to the girls. “Girls have forgotten how to be kind to each other and the modelling business has become too bitchy and competitive. I wish to encourage girls to help each other” she says.
