Groves Barn, the large self-catering holiday cottage, which accommodates eight adults, has just received five stars from Quality in Tourism, the assessment centre for VisitEngland. The barn has also been awarded the 'Welcome' scheme for Cyclists, Walkers, Pets and Families and the National Accessible Scheme (NAS) Mobility Level One for its accessible facilities.

Norton Grounds, based just outside Chipping Campden, offers luxury self-catering accommodation in beautiful converted barns and bed and breakfast in the 18th Century Farmhouse. In addition, Norton Grounds Equestrian provides first class facilities for eventers and is home to two professional yards.

Clare and Andrew Valender took over Norton Grounds in June and have been busy adding new facilities and finishing touches to ensure their guests have a five star stay. From the outset they were keen to provide a holiday experience that would appeal to families and dog owners.

Groves Barn is the first part of the business to be reviewed by Quality in Tourism and the Valenders are delighted with the outcome.

Andrew Valender said: "We are thrilled that Norton Grounds has got off to such a good start. It's wonderful to see our hard work be rewarded with such a strong endorsement for Groves Barn from Quality in Tourism, as well as some great reviews from self catering and bed and breakfast guests.

"As the person in charge of the kitchen, I was particularly thrilled when one guest commented that we provide the best breakfast in the Cotswolds!" Andrew added.

With some fantastic reviews on TripAdvisor for both the holiday cottages and bed and breakfast accommodation, Clare and Andrew Valender are looking forward to welcoming more guests to Norton Grounds.

Alongside the holiday accommodation, Norton Grounds Equestrian offers high quality facilities and expert tuition from professional event riders and guest trainers. The equestrian business has not only seen success in Clare's own yard, Valender Eventing, but has attracted Italian Olympic rider, Vittoria Panizzon, who has moved into a brand new, custom built yard on the site.

Andrew Valender continued: "We have plenty of exciting plans for the year ahead, such as events packages linked to local attractions and new facilities for pets. We will also be expanding our equestrian facilities with a new indoor floodlit arena shortly".
