Profiting from Secondary Spend, fuelled by BodyPower will highlight the missed opportunity around sports nutrition, and provide practical advice to leisure and fitness facilities to profit more from these purchases.

Commenting on the partnership, BodyPower CEO Nick Orton says:

"I've been visiting LIW at the NEC for many years - it's a great trade event for businesses in the leisure industry to showcase their products and services. I've thought for some time that gym owners and managers visiting LIW would benefit from a top quality seminar stream which focuses on the additional revenues from secondary spend offerings, so it's a great pleasure that the BodyPower team will be programming this exciting new feature at LIW."

James Samuel, LIW Event Director, added:

"We're delighted to be working with BodyPower.  This a perfect example of how we're evolving and engaging with new partners and industry experts to offer the most relevant and up to date content at LIW 2015.  Our extensive research has given us great insight on how we can provide a new and improved event experience that focuses on innovation, learning and networking, linked to our theme of health, wellbeing and fitness through active leisure."

The new Secondary Spend seminar programme is the first of a range new content and features planned for Leisure Industry Week 2015.  In addition LIW has also announced a new two day format for the event, which will concentrate visitors and create a more vibrant atmosphere.  Leisure Industry Week 2015 will take place on 22nd - 23rdSept 2015.

More announcements on new features and content will be made in the new year, but here's a sneak preview of what to expect;

To provide this Leisure Industry Week will provide an Innovation Theatre where suppliers can showcase their new innovations and technology in action to the audience who are hungry for the latest trends.

Iconic Names to Inspire the Nation

Leisure Industry Week and BodyPower Team up as Part of new Content and Feature Programme for LIW 2015

Leisure Industry Week has always attracted iconic sporting legends from Andre Agassi and Ricky Hatton, to Sally Gunnell and Dani King. Big names provide inspiring and motivating stories to engage future generations with physically active lifestyles. Leisure Industry Week's Centre Stage will continue the events legacy, offering access to inspiring names and celebrities from the world of health, wellbeing and physical activity. To ensure the industry is at the heart of this, Leisure Industry Week is inviting submissions for proposals for ambassadors and partners who would provide impactful and inspiring keynote sessions.

Training and CPD

Keeping some of the most popular, training focused sessions, Leisure Industry Week will again run the Functional Training Zone and CPD Masterclass Arena, providing the audience the opportunity to get live training to help enhance their career and business.

Commenting on the new 2 day format, Samuel identifies that the shorter show length is in response to a clear desire from the audience to maximise their time at the event and reduce time away from work.

"Return on time and investment are the key drivers for our audience, fitting the show into a new 2 day format will provide an event that maximises both of these and again meets our audience needs."

Samuel also highlights that the evolution is to continue for Leisure Industry Week and more announcements are due to be made.

"The New Year will bring with it further announcements about the evolution of Leisure Industry Week. Looking at how we can inspire primary and secondary school children to engage further with physical activity and how to reduce obesity. Pushing ukactive's mission of more people becoming more active, more often is at the heart of Leisure Industry Week's future."
