Changed Number of Shares and Votes in SEMAFO

Montreal, Quebec, April 28, 2017 - SEMAFO (TSX, OMX: SMF) reports the following, in accordance with the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act:

As a result of the exercise of stock options by a non-insider, the number of issued and outstanding shares of SEMAFO has increased from 324,861,200 to 324,873,700 common shares with voting rights as at April 28, 2017.
