Clash of Kings Dethrones Top-grossing Apps Clash of Clans and Game of War in Russia
Clash of Clans and Game of War had comfortablly held first place in the App Store and Google Play's Top Grossing Apps charts respectively. Given the long-term popularity of these two games, it's unusual for a newcomer to take over both of the top chart spots as quickly as Clash of Kings has.
The Top Grossing Apps sections of the App Store and Google Play feature the current leading apps in terms of revenue intake, effectively tracking customer purchases in real time. Though Clash of Kings is available as a free download, players can purchase optional in-game perks using real cash, driving its quick rise in the store rankings.
Compared with Clash of Clans and Game of War, Clash of Kings ranks highly on the Top Grossing charts (1st on both App Store and Google Play) with a low rank on the Top Free charts (128th on App Store and 135th on Google Play). It is evident that there are a smaller number of total users but they are demonstrating a much higher-than-average ARPU.
