"Glam Lab Talk: when a detail makes the difference" will be the theme of the talk scheduled for Saturday at 4.30 pm 

GOLD/ITALY, the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi event specifically for Made in Italy gold, jewellery and high-end costume jewellery, opens on Saturday 25th October at 11.30 am.

Business meetings for 220 companies from the main Italian gold districts will take place in Arezzo until 27th October, where companies will have the chance to present their collections to highly selected buyers from Italian and international retailing originating from 50 different countries, including the Arab Emirates (mainly Dubai), Saudi Arabia, the United States, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, Europe and Canada.

Also making a repeat appearance with GOLD/ITALY are "Bi-Jewel", the area entirely dedicated to the world of costume and fashion jewellery, and "Cash & Carry", the corner devised for immediate delivery, where buyers and producers meet for on-the-spot selling and buying.

A gold show that is becoming increasingly more popular for international retailing, thanks to the collaboration of ITA (Italian Trade Agency) which assisted Arezzo Fiere e Congressiin the incoming of foreign traders.

GOLD/ITALY will be a banner for the fashion world. The trade fair will include fashion creations and proposals matched with jewellery from the exhibiting companies that will bring new suggestions to the catwalks in an exclusive location called GLAM LAB. At 4.30 pm in the afternoon of Saturday 25th October, a round table will take place, chaired by the television fashion journalist, Cinzia Malvini, entitled "Glam Lab Talk: when a detail makes the difference". An event which will take a look at the jewellery world's evolution, international competition, the value of craftsmanship, how such an item of jewellery, just like a dress, must express a person's style, and how an item of costume jewellery chosen with taste, must be able to enhance one's personality.

Intervening at the talk will be Beppe Angiolini, art director of GOLD/ITALY and past President of the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers, Elisabetta Barracchia, editor in chief of Vogue Accessory and Vogue Gioiello, and the actor, Luca Argentero; journalists Paola Cacianti, special correspondent for Costume Moda Cultura RAI 1 - Tg1; Eva Desiderio, fashion and trend expert and editor in chief of QN La Nazione, Il Giorno, Il Resto del Carlino, Elisabetta Falciola, senior editor and person in charge of fashion on TG5, and designers Chiara Boni and Gianluca Capannolo.

Among the new items at the trade fair is the launching of the "Retail Club Italia" project which foresees the arrival in GOLD/ITALY of over 160 selected VIP jewellers, a new way to create a direct link between retail and producers.

With this in mind, we have devised the GOLDITALY/GOLDSTAR: NECK-À-PORTER contest: companies have the chance to re-interpret a top jewellery item/accessory: the necklace. We want to invest in the communication of a content event where ideas for promoting design and Italian style are given space," explains the art director GOLD/ITALY, Beppe Angiolini, past President of the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers - "A renewal that can also be felt in the fittings and layout, which will have a simple identity. We will not just be a business "container", we will also be presenting a show enriched with new elegance and harmony. Jewellery and fashion will be the protagonists of SHOOTING LIVE inside the GLAM LAB area with the coordination of Beppe Angiolini, Vogue Gioiello and Vogue Accessory, and again in collaboration with Arezzo Fiere e Congressi and with events and exclusive fashion parades, with clothes by designers Chiara Boni and Gianluca Capannolo.

Made in Italy Trends on Stage at GOLD/ITALY, the Fashion Jewellery Show

The "GOLD/GALA/DINNER", organised in partnership with Banca Etruria, will be held for international buyers and companies in Piazza Grande in Arezzo, an exclusive event that will host the welcome evening party with the Vasarian open gallery making up the background. An exceptional night with the buildings illuminated with pictures and special effects. The wonderful, history-filled rooms of the Palazzo della Fraternita dei Laici will be open especially for the event and for the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi guests.

The President of the Arezzo Chamber of Commerce has also underlined how important it is to promote the image of the Arezzo territory around the world. Initiatives like the event at Piazza Grande, are an ideal way to promote Arezzo, its history, culture, wine and food. THE GOLD/ITALY 2014 EVENTS @ GLAM LAB 

Inside GLAMLAB, the most experimental and exclusive area, jewellery will also be further enhanced and promoted by clothes designed by Chiara Boni, one of the GLAM LAB's main players. Special creations that will become installations on the theme of femininity: clothes that cross and reconfirm that indisputable style that made her famous.

Creations for the Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 season by Gianluca Capannolo will also bring to life a tableaux vivant and act as the stage for a selection of the most original jewellery and accessories, created by attending jewellery companies. A choreographer will bring all the energy of Pop and the cosmopolitan style of cities like London, Paris and Rome to the Tuscan city next weekend.

The clothing brands which will also be worn during the fashion parades in the GLAM LAB area by fashion models are: Dreamyourself, Conservatoires Des Lunettes, Butterflytwist.

For the first time GOLD/ITALY will be broadcast in streaming in collaboration with Preziosa magazine. With "Gold/Italy on Air" on Saturday and Sunday (at 10 am, 10.45 am, 1 pm and 2 pm), in the "Glam Lab" area, the presenter, Chiara Sani, will be in live streaming with details, interviews and focus on the sector, assisted by the Editor of Preziosa magazine, Giovanni Micera.

On Sunday, 26thOctober at 4 pm, the price-giving ceremony of the "GOLDITALY/GOLDSTAR: NECK-À-PORTER" contest and "Golden Showcase" are scheduled, respectively dedicated to the most innovative necklaces and the most creative window design.

Among the side events scheduled is the "Gioielli d'arte contemporanea, Made in Italy!" exhibition, organised by Daniele Villicana D'Annibale, founder and artistic director of Galleria Cavour 85 in Arezzo.
