The 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum: Capitalizing on the New Global Economic Reality

The SPIEF programme includes a SCO Business Forum and a G20 Business Forum. Within the scope of the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the tradition will continue of holding the Global Energy Awards Ceremony and the Energy Summit, in which heads of global fuel and energy majors will take part. In addition, there are plans for a special session of the Valdai Club and events of the Conversations with the Extraordinary cycle. For the first time, on the sidelines of the Forum, the first Conference for the Sustainable Development of the Arctic will be held. Day zero of the SPIEF will feature the second Russian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Forum. The first Conference for the Sustainable Development of the Arctic is scheduled to take place on the Forum's sidelines.

More than 200 leading experts from Russia, Europe, the US, Asia and Australia participated in developing the Forum programme. As Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov notes in this connection, "the Forum platform is open to all participants without exception. As in previous years, we intend to have a constructive dialogue with all interested parties. I am convinced that the Forum programme will fully demonstrate this".
