Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Vast Resources plc, the AIM-listed mining company with operations in Romania and Zimbabwe, is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Kindinger as Chief Financial Officer (non-board).  With proven experience working with AIM quoted companies in the natural resources sector, Mr Kindinger brings a wealth of experience to support Vast in the development of its mining operations in Romania and Zimbabwe.

Mr Kindinger has held senior financial, managerial and board level posts for over 25 years in small to mid-sized companies internationally, including AIM quoted resources entities Island Oil and Gas Plc and Fastnet Oil and Gas Plc. He has significant transactional experience, including fund raisings, corporate restructuring, financial controls and planning, economic analysis, IFRS reporting, and strategic planning. He is an associate member of the UK's Institute of Chartered Management Accountants and also holds a degree in Economics and an M.B.A.

"We are delighted to welcome Carl to the Company.  Having worked in the resource space for over 25 years and with proven experience in realising value within AIM stocks, we are confident that Carl brings with him the requisite skill set to support Vast and our active growth plans as we look to increase production and ultimately profitability at our two operational mines.  Our Pickstone-Peerless gold mine in Zimbabwe is now producing at a steady state, consistently processing 20,000 tonnes per month, and work to improve operational efficiencies at our Manaila Polymetallic Mine in Romania is showing excellent results.  We are now producing a quality copper concentrate and work is underway to commission a second float line to produce a separate zinc concentrate, which will in turn create a new revenue stream.  With production ramping up and further exciting developments in the pipeline, including the planned publication of a JORC Compliant Resource Estimate at Manaila, we look forward to working with Carl to deliver on these milestone objectives."
