Il Vietnam (in lingua vietnamita "Việt Nam"), conosciuto ufficialmente come Repubblica Socialista del Vietnam ("Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam"), è uno stato del sud-est asiatico. Confina a nord con la Cina, a ovest con il Laos e la Cambogia, a est e a sud si affaccia sul Mar Cinese meridionale, che tra l'isola cinese di Hainan e il nord del Vietnam forma il Golfo del Tonchino. A sud per un breve tratto il Vietnam si affaccia sul golfo del Siam.
Il Vietnam è una repubblica costituzionale di tipo socialista; l'attuale capo di Stato è Trương Tấn Sang e il capo del governo è Nguyễn Tấn Dũng.

Le origini e i periodi di autonomia e di dominazione cinese
Il primo Stato vietnamita nacque tra il IV e il II secolo a.C. attorno al Golfo del Tonchino (o Basso Tonchino): è il leggendario regno di Au Lac, che nel 221 a.C. venne conquistato dai cinesi. Le lotte per l'indipendenza si susseguirono, la prima dal 200 a.C. al 111 a.C. e la seconda dal 39 d.C. al 43 d.C. Per due volte i cinesi riconquistarono la regione. (fonte: Wikipedia)

Vietnam Tyre Market to Reach US$ 2.7 Billion by 2020 Says TechSci Research

According to TechSci Research report, "Vietnam Tyre Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020", tyre market in Vietnam is forecast to touch US$ 2.7 billion by 2020. Prominent factors driving the market include growing automobile sales, rising automobile fleet, favorable government policies and increasing foreign investments in the country's automotive sector. Moreover, Vietnam's rubber production capability provides considerable opportunities to tyre manufacturers to increase production capacities and establish new manufacturing plants in the country. As of 2014, around 14 tyre plants accounting for a production capacity of more than 65 million units per annum, operated in the country.
