orderbird Chooses Wirecard's Mobile Card Reader Solution
orderbird develops and sells iOS-based cashdesk and settlement systems for the gastronomy sector using iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Wirecard's Card Reader solution allows orderbird's current total of more than 400 customers to not only receive orders and make settlement with immediate effect, but also to process the card-based payment process using credit cards and direct debits.
Jakob Schreyer, orderbird's CEO explained: "We wanted to have a market-ready iOS-capable solution straight away for our innovative cashdesk concept - that is why we scoured the market from top to bottom. Wirecard convinced us immediately with its end-to-end, fully integrated concept - right through to the design of the reader."
In the orderbird solution, a mobile chip card reader is linked to the iOS device and the payment process is launched. End-to-end encryption ensures secure payment transfer. The end customer confirms payment via a touchscreen signature on the iPad or iPhone.
"The Wirecard Software Development Kit is tailored to the orderbird cashdesk app. Our white-label solution can be customized for the respective industry," commented Anne C.
