For the 10th consecutive year, Commonwealth Financial Network® has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe. Overall, Commonwealth was honored as the #7 best place to work among large-size* firms. Commonwealth is part of an exclusive group of Massachusetts “all-star” companies that has earned a spot every year since the Globe introduced its Top Places list.

“We are honored to be named a Top Place to Work in Massachusetts for the 10th consecutive year,” said Kate Creagh, managing principal, human resources, at Commonwealth. “With an array of available tools, professional development programs, and active corporate campaigns, we are as committed as ever to the employee experience. Nearly 300 new hires were brought on board this year to support our growth, and the Commonwealth community continues to thrive—nurturing and empowering both new and tenured staff.”

“To consistently rank highly among the most innovative and customer-centric businesses in the state gives me great pride not only in the company we have evolved into but also in the strong, smart teams that compose our great organization,” said Wayne Bloom, Commonwealth’s CEO. “Maintaining our track record of stability and responsibility in the financial services industry starts with our employees who support our affiliated independent financial advisors across the country every day. We work hard to demonstrate our appreciation for their contributions and commitment.”

Dubbed an “all-star” company for being one of 10 firms that have made the list since inception, Commonwealth is featured in the Globe’s special section on secrets of success, recognized for its ability to have fun and citing a few of the firm’s many unique events.

The Top Places to Work ranking recognizes companies across the state based on employee opinions on six key factors related to employee satisfaction: company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits. Private companies, nonprofits, and publicly held businesses were included in the analysis.

In all, Commonwealth has been recognized 38 times as a Best Place to Work by top publications, including the Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, San Diego Business Journal, and San Diego Union-Tribune, as well as by the IT industry’s leading publication, Computerworld.

*Large-size is defined as companies with between 250 and 999 employees in Massachusetts.
