TOUAX achieves significant sales and leasing of modular buildings to house refugees in Hamburg, Germany
PRESS RELEASE - Paris, 5 October 2015 - 6 p.m.
TOUAX's German subsidiary has won an important sales contract for modular buildings, an order placed by the Hamburg City Council, with a view to housing some 2,000 asylum seekers.
This order involves the installation and delivery of around 1,100 modules totaling 20,000 sq.m over several sites. Delivery will be staggered over the next 9 months.
The sale comprises 40 2- or 3-floor buildings, each containing 8 to 12 fully fitted and furbished apartments (with central heating, electrical and telecommunications fittings and Internet, kitchen and bathroom).
The modules will be manufactured by our plant located in the Czech Republic, which boasts the necessary technical expertise and savoir-faire to deliver permanent modular buildings meeting various technical specifications, in very short lead time. This order fulfills about 40% the annual production of our plant.
TOUAX has the savoir-faire to produce housing for refugees in Europe and has already installed since the beginning of the year 50,000 sq.m in leasing and sales for refugees in Germany.
