Togán Labs' flagship product, Oryx Linux, is slated for alpha release in early November 2018. Interested parties are invited to learn more about its capabilities and view early access demonstrations of Togán Labs' full product line at the Embedded Linux Conference in Prague, Czech Republic, October 23-26, 2017.
"Oryx Linux is a new embedded Linux distribution from Togàn Labs based on the work of OpenEmbedded and The Yocto Project. It follows best practices for embedded Linux and helps to achieve GPL compliance straight out of the box, without complex configuration options which must first be enabled," said Paul Barker, Co-Founder and Principal Engineer, Togán Labs. "Applications are fully containerised using runc (the lightweight container runtime at the the heart of the Docker project) to ensure security and isolation without sacrificing memory or performance. Oryx Linux achieves this without requiring existing embedded Linux developers to re-skill as all development, including creation of container images, is based on existing workflows inherited from the Yocto Project."
