Bologna F.C. 1909 Announces Claudio Fenucci As New Chief Executive Officer

"This is another great day for the Bologna Football Club. Fenucci is one of the top managers not only in Italy but also in Europe, as well as a highly esteemed and respected person," said Tacopina.

Fenucci was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Serie A club team A.S. Roma and served on their Board of Directors. Fenucci joined A.S. Roma in 2011 to lead the club's off-field operations.

"I strongly believe in the project that the new ownership group is working on, and that is why I am honored to be here. Joe, with incredible enthusiasm, has a vision of Bologna that extends beyond where it is now," said Fenucci.

"I am motivated by this challenge, and I am here because of the passion. I love this city; I love the fans. I see that there is a lot to accomplish, but we cannot do everything at once. The horizon is very long."

Prior to A.S. Roma, Fenucci served as CEO of U.S. Lecce where he helped advance and promote the club from Serie C1 to Serie A.
